Police Investigating Wounding At Nerang

Police have arrested two men following the wounding of a man and woman at Nerang this morning, 11 September.

Just after 3.30am, two men allegedly forced entry into a property on Dugandan Street.

It will be further alleged that the two men then assaulted two occupants, a 58-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman.

Police arrived on the scene a short time later where they arrested two men.

The 58-year-old sustained wounds to his lower back and the 32-year-old sustained a laceration to the back of her head.

Both were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A crime scene was declared and investigations are continuing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident or who may have relevant vision to come forward.
