Police investigation ongoing into murder of Jake Anderson-Brettner, TAS

The police investigation is ongoing in relation to the murder of 24-year-old Launceston man Jake Anderson-Brettner, Tasmania Police say.

"Police continue to investigate the murder of Jake Anderson-Brettner and search for his remains," said Detective Acting Inspector Craig Fox.

"The circumstances of Jake’s death are traumatic and police will continue to conduct extensive searches to provide closure to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

"While the investigation is ongoing police cannot rule anything out."

Formal identification of the torso located near Targa on Sunday, believed to be Jake, is anticipated to be completed next week.

Jake was last seen alive around 6pm on Wednesday 15 August. Police have charged a 26-year-old Riverside man with Murder and a 25-year-old Riverside woman with Accessory After The Fact Of Murder, in relation to his death.
