Police launch investigation into man's death at Albury

An investigation is underway following the death of a man in Albury at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a unit in North Albury about 3.45pm (Sunday 7 March 2021), following reports a man had been found unresponsive in the bathroom.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended and established a crime scene, which has been examined by specialist forensic officers.

The man has since been identified as the 35-year-old occupant of the home.

As inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the man's death, detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
