Police lay armed robbery charges at Mitchelton

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery in Mitchelton last Wednesday, March 25.

Around 4:30pm, a man entered a bank in Brookside Shopping Centre armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The man then fled in an unknown direction with a sum of cash.

No staff members were injured during the incident.

Police have charged a 44-year-old Chinchilla man with armed robbery. He appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday. He was remanded in custody and is due to reappear on July 6.
