Police lay charges after two men seriously injured after stabbing - Chippendale

A man will reappear in court after two men were seriously injured following a stabbing at Chippendale overnight.

About 8.40am (Saturday 6 July 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Shepherd Street, Chippendale, following reports of a stabbing.

Two men, aged 20 and 25, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The 20-year-old man remains in a serious but stable condition, while the 25-year-old man remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

About 10pm (Saturday 6 July 2019), police executed a search warrant at a home in Blacktown, where they arrested a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with specially aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – wound (x2).

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 7 July 2019) to reappear at Central Local Court on Wednesday 10 July 2019.
