Police Lay Charges - Death At Tennant Creek

Detectives from the Northern Territory Police Major Crime Squad have charged a 17-year-old male after he allegedly stabbed and killed a 21-year-old man following an altercation on Friday morning.

Police have completed their investigation, and the youth has been remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court tomorrow.

Acting Commander Mark Grieve said the incident was another senseless death.

"Our thoughts are with the family, but we ask for calm in the community. Violence is not the answer."
