Police lay charges over unlawful entry in Alice Springs 4 June

Northern Territory Police have charged a 15-year-old female in relation to a break-in at a shopping centre in Alice Springs earlier this week.

Police allege that in the early hours of 2 June, the girl and an unknown offender forced entry to the shopping centre and stole a number of items from several stores before fleeing the area.

Investigators from Strike Force Viper executed a search warrant at a residence in Alice Springs and recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen property. The youth was located and arrested at the location.

She has been charged with:

  • Attempt unlawful entry
  • Unlawful entry
  • Stealing
  • Damage to property
  • Possess controlled weapon

She was bailed to appear in court today.

Investigations are continuing to identify the co-offender.
