Detectives from the Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 33-year-old man with murder following investigations into the death of a man in Gooburrum, north of Bundaberg, on 15 May.
Emergency services were called to a Moore Park Road address around 7:45 PM after receiving reports of a 42-year-old Gooburrum man who was unresponsive after sustaining serious injuries.
When officers arrived, the 42-year-old man was declared deceased, and a 33-year-old Bundaberg North man was taken into custody nearby.
Following investigations, the 33-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday, 18 May.
