A man has been arrested after stealing a car in Blair Athol last night.
Just after 11pm on Monday 27 April, an unlocked Toyota wagon was reported stolen from outside a Blair Athol address.
The owner remained on the phone to police while following the car into the northern suburbs.
The stolen car stopped in Poulshot Crescent, Elizabeth Vale and the driver ran off.
Patrols arrested the suspect a short distance away.
A 35-year-old of no fixed place was arrested and charged with illegal interference and driving disqualified. Police refused bail and he will appear at Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
