Police make arrest - Aggravated Assaults at Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 22-year-old male following two alleged aggravated assaults in Tennant Creek overnight.

Shortly before 9:00pm, police responded to a report of a 46-year-old man being assaulted. Upon arrival police located the victim who had suffered significant facial injuries.

At about 11:30pm, police were called to another report of a 23-year-old man being assaulted and suffering injuries.

Both victims were conveyed to Tennant Creek Hospital for medical treatment. The 46-year-old male was later transported to Alice Springs Hospital with serious injuries requiring surgery.

A 22-year-old male has been arrested in relation to these incidents.

Detectives from Tennant Creek Investigations Unit are investigating.
