Police make arrest - Aggravated Robbery - East Arnhem region

Northern Territory Police have arrested two youths in relation to an aggravated robbery that took place yesterday in the East Arnhem region.

The youths allegedly broke into a commercial business, stealing a quantity of small items before being disturbed by a patrolling security guard. The youths allegedly became aggressive towards the security guard, causing the guard to withdraw. Police responded to further disturbances in the area locating the youths.

Two youths were arrested shortly after and were taken into the care of a responsible adult.

NT police have identified the remaining two youths and investigations and enquiries are continuing.

Commander Janelle Tonkin said "Anyone with information is urged to call the police on 131 444. The community can rest assured that police are pursuing all avenues to arrest the remaining alleged offenders. This kind of violent behaviour has no place in our community."
