Police make arrest - Dangerous driving in Alice Springs CBD

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 34-year-old man after he allegedly drove his vehicle into a licensed premises earlier today.

Just after 11am, police received a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the side entrance of a licensed premises on the corner of Wills Terrace and Leichardt Terrace.

Patrons had to take evasive action to avoid being hit by the vehicle.

Following the crash, the man exited the vehicle and fled the scene. Police located him and he was arrested.

A crime scene has been declared. Traffic diversions are currently in place while police are investigating.
