Police Make Arrest - Domestic Violence In Katherine 27 June

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 57-year-old man in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred along Railway Terrace in Katherine last night.

About 8:35pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of an unconscious woman with suspected head injuries on Railway Terrace.

General duties attended the scene and patrolled the area nearby, locating and arresting a man that was known to the victim.

St John Ambulance conveyed the victim to the Katherine District Hospital in a serious condition where it was later confirmed she had suffered several skull fractures. She is currently in a stable condition.

The Katherine Crime Scene Examination Unit attended the scene and canvassed the area for CCTV.
