Police have arrested a youth in relation to an unlawful entry in Leanyer early this morning.
At approximately 1:30am, two youths entered a property on Sanford Street, through an unlocked back door, allegedly stealing property.
A 14-year-old girl who was at home confronted the offenders, causing them to flee the scene. One of the offenders allegedly assaulted the girl before leaving the residence.
Police located and arrested one of the offenders a short time later.
Investigations are continuing to locate the outstanding offenders. Charges are yet to be laid.
