Police make arrest - Stolen motor vehicle in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 14-year-old youth in relation to a stolen motor vehicle.

On 30 September, the youth was identified as being the driver of a vehicle stolen from a business premise in Parap earlier that morning.

The vehicle was later found along the Stuart Highway in the vicinity of South Alligator after it was involved in a single vehicle accident.

Strike Force Trident detectives attended a residence in Malak yesterday and arrested the youth. He has been charged with:

  • aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • drive motor vehicle whilst unlicensed
  • stealing

He has been bailed to appear before Court on 15 October 2021.
