Police make arrest - Unlawfully cause serious harm in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a man in relation to an incident which left another man with a broken arm in Alice Springs earlier this week.

Police were called to a disturbance involving two men at a home in Tjuwanpa Court around 1am on Tuesday.

The two men had been drinking when they had a verbal disagreement at which point it is alleged a 45-year-old man struck a 44-year-old man with a length of wood, breaking the man's arm.

The victim was taken to the Alice Springs Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers arrested the offender, who was transported to the Alice Springs Watch house and charged with one count of Unlawfully cause serious harm. He is scheduled to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court today.
