Police make arrests - Stolen Motor Vehicle in Alice Springs 10 February

Three youths who are alleged to have driven a stolen motor vehicle in a reckless manner around Alice Springs, have been arrested by Strike Force Viper.

Police received multiple reports of the vehicle, which was stolen from a Braitling residence overnight, being driven in a reckless and dangerous manner throughout the Alice Springs CBD and surrounding suburbs.

Police received a report the vehicle had travelled west of Alice Springs, and further information that three youths had received a lift from a driver travelling back into Alice Springs.

Members of Strike Force Viper located the driver and the three youths, aged 12, 14 and 14-years-old who were arrested and taken to the Alice Springs Watch House.

Two youths, aged 12 and 14 remain in police custody with charges expected to be laid later tonight, and the other 14-year-old male will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations relating to the unlawful entry, continue.
