Police Nab Suspect in Goolwa Machinery Theft

A local man was arrested following investigations into the theft of heavy machinery from a Goolwa building site last month.

The New Holland skid steer was stolen from a site on Gardiner Street, Goolwa on Wednesday 29 July. It has not yet been recovered.

However, investigations have resulted in the arrest of a suspect last night, Friday 21 August.

The 20-year-old Goolwa man was arrested and charged with theft, illegal use and property damage.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday 24 August.

Inquiries are continuing to try to locate the stolen skid steer.
