A 31-year-old male senior constable from Northern Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to alleged misconduct and computer hacking.
The member has been charged with computer hacking and misuse, and misconduct in relation to public office, allegedly committed while on duty.
The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on 2 June 2025.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
