Police officer dismissed, Northern Region

A 53-year-old male senior constable from Northern Region has been dismissed from the Queensland Police Service.

The officer was the subject to an investigation concerning an allegation of using excessive force on a juvenile detainee while in police custody in a Watchhouse.

The officer was initially suspended from the Queensland Police Service in April 2018.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer has been dismissed for misconduct.
