A police operation is underway on Elizabeth Street, Sydney, after an officer was stabbed.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an officer for non-life threatening head injuries, before he was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.
A man, aged 33, has been arrested and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for assessment.
There is no ongoing threat to the public.
