A police officer has been taken to hospital after being stabbed at Sadleir.
Just before 7am (Tuesday 11 June 2019), officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended a home on Heckenberg Avenue in relation to a warrant.
A man allegedly confronted the officers before stabbing the male constable in the hand and slashing him in the neck.
The 24-year-old officer has been taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two men were arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station.
Inquiries are continuing.
