Police officer struck by vehicle at Watsonia

Police are appealing for public assistance following an incident at the Watsonia Railway Station this morning where a police officer was struck by a vehicle, Victoria Police say.

Two Transit officers on foot attempted to intercept a green Holden Commodore in the car park on Greensborough Road about 8am.

The vehicle attempted to evade police and struck a female constable in the process.

She sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for observation.

The green Holden Commodore has been described as an early 90s model fled the scene and it is believed two males and a female were in the car at the time of the incident.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have been parked in the car park and have dash cam footage.
