Police officer suspended in Central Region, QLD

A 37-year-old male Constable from Central Region has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Police say.

The officer has been served a Notice to Appear for 31 charges of computer hacking and will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on 29 January 2019.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
