About 6.50am (Wednesday 28 November 2018), police were called to Pittwater Road near Blenheim Road, North Ryde, following reports of vehicles trapped on a flooded road.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended to assist and were clearing the road, when a tree fell on two of the officers and a vehicle.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and has been taken to Royal North Shore hospital in a serious but stable condition.
