Police officers suspended in Central Region, QLD

Two Constables from the Central Region have been suspended from the Queensland Police Service following the closure of a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation, Queensland Police say.

A 35-year-old male Constable was arrested by the CCC on March 13 and charged with possession of a dangerous drug (section 9 Drugs Misuse Act 1986) and supplying a dangerous drug (section 6 Drugs Misuse Act 1986).

A 30-year-old male Constable was arrested by the CCC on March 13 and charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous drug (section 9 Drugs Misuse Act 1986).

Both officers will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on April 19.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
