A man has been arrested following a seven-hour police operation in Sydney's south today.
Just before 9am (Tuesday 9 February 2021), officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were called to Universal Street, Eastlakes, after concerns were raised for the welfare of a male resident.
Extensive inquiries were conducted to locate the man, including searches of a number of residences.
With the assistance from specialist police including the Tactical Operations Unit and Police Negotiators, the man was arrested at a nearby apartment just after 4pm.
The 29-year-old man has been taken to Mascot Police Station.
