A police operation is currently underway near Wynyard, in the state’s north-west to apprehend an alleged offender who is evading police, Tasmania Police say.
Police are currently searching for the driver of a grey/white VT (or similar model) Commodore sedan, possibly with the registration number E06CS.
The vehicle was last seen in the Wynyard/Yolla area.
Police believe the driver can assist them in a number of outstanding matters.

Police are following a specific line of inquiry in relation to the search and would like to reassure members of the public there is no threat of harm. There will be a significant police presence in the Wynyard area.
