Police probe after pedestrians hit in Sydney

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a car in Sydney’s CBD today, NSW Police say.

About 4.50pm today, emergency services were called to Murray Street, Sydney CBD, after reports a Nissan Micra left the road and hit two pedestrians.

One of the pedestrians, a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, is currently being treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

The second male pedestrian has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.

The female driver of the car was not injured. She has been taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command attended and a crime scene was established.

Crash Investigation Unit will examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
