Police probe after shots fired in Mascot

A crime scene has been established after shots were fired from one car into another at Mascot early this evening, NSW Police say.

About 6pm (Wednesday 31 January 2018), police responded to an incident at Jackson Drive, near Kent Street, following reports of a shooting incident.

Witnesses have told police they believe they saw shots fired from a white Ford Ranger Utility towards a Mazda sedan.

Both cars sped away from the scene, travelling erratically along Jackson Drive in a westerly direction.

Police located a number of projectile casings at the scene.

It is not known if anyone has been injured.

Specialist forensic investigators and detectives are currently at the scene and investigations are continuing.
