Police probe aggravated break and enter in Blacktown

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an aggravated break and enter at Blacktown last night, NSW Police say.

About 9.45pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Sunnyholt Road, following reports a woman was injured.

Police have been told two unknown males forced entry to the property and assaulted a 58-year-old woman in the kitchen with canned food items.

The intruders demanded money and personal items from the woman, when she ran outside and the males fled the scene empty handed.

The woman was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.

Officers from Quakers Hill Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Detectives would like to speak to two males, not further described, who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
