Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery that occurred at a business premises in Earlwood last night, NSW Police say.
About 9.45pm yesterday, a man entered a take-away store on Homer Street with his face covered and wearing a black hoodie.
He produced a knife as he entered the store and approached the counter, pointing the weapon at a staff member.
The armed man pushed the male employee to the back of the premises where he demanded cash from a safe.
The employee complied and the man fled from the store with an amount of money.
The male staff member, and a female employee who was in the kitchen at the time of the robbery, were not hurt during the incident.
Police were called and a crime scene was established while further investigations take place.
