Police Probe Attempted Robbery in Penrith

Police are appealing for information following an alleged attempted robbery in Sydney's west earlier this month.

About 4.50am on Sunday 3 August 2025, emergency services responded to reports of an attempted Robbery at Penrith Railway Station.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command responded and were told two unknown men threatened a man in his 20s. No injuries were reported to police.

Investigators from the Police Transport Command North West have commenced an investigation into the incident and have released images of two men who might be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20-years-old, with distinctive tattoos on the back of both hands.

He was last seen wearing dark pants, a black cap and a blue and yellow jacket.

The second man is described as having an olive complexion and is about 20 years old.

He was last seen wearing black pants, a black puffer jacket with a grey hood, and a designer satchel bag.
