An investigation is underway after a public place shooting in the state's Wollongong region overnight.
About 2am today (Thursday 11 September 2025), emergency services were called to Bertone Close, Fairy Meadow, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police District were told a number of shots were fired at the front door of a home before a vehicle was seen leaving the scene.
There were four occupants inside the home at the time of incident and no injuries have been reported.
A crime scene has been established as police commenced an investigation into the incident.
