Investigation underway following the fatal shooting of a man in the state's Riverina region overnight.
Just before 3am (Monday 9 June 2025), emergency services were called to Connorton Avenue, Ashmont, following reports a man had been shot during an altercation.
Officers attached to Riverina Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and located the injured man; however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene was established, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives have commenced an investigation with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
