Police probe following aggravated break and enter in Earlwood

An investigation is underway following an aggravated break and enter in Earlwood this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after midnight (Thursday 19 July 2018), emergency services were called to a home on Richmond Street, following reports two males had entered a home through the back door.

Police were told the men stole a number of items from the property before leaving.

A male resident who was home at the time was uninjured.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command attended and with assistance from the Dog Unit, conducted an extensive search of the area, however the men were not located.

It is believed they may have left the area in a vehicle.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation launched into the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
