Police probe following armed robbery in Petersham

Police are investigating following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s Inner West, NSW Police say.

About 11pm on Thursday today, a 24-year-old man was walking along Sadlier Crescent, Petersham, when he was approached by a male from behind.

Police have been told the man threatened the 24-year-old man and demanded his wallet, before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.

Officers attached to Marrickville Local Area Command were contacted and have commenced an investigation.

Police would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is describes as being in his mid 20’s, about 185cm tall, of slim build, with dark short hair and stubble on his face. The male was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and was carrying a black bag/satchel.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact police via Crime Stoppers.
