A car has crashed during a suspected street race in Sydney’s west overnight, NSW Police say.
Just before 9.30pm (Sunday 20 May 2018), a Mazda 323 was reportedly racing a Toyota Kluger on the Driftway Drive at Pemulwuy, when it crashed.
The Mazda crashed into three parked cars, trapping the driver, a 19-year-old man.
Emergency services worked to the free the man before he was taken to Westmead Hospital, where remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota, a 17-year-old male, stopped to assist. He was uninjured and subjected to a roadside breath test, returning a negative result.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command are investigating the crash.
Both drivers had their licences suspended immediately.
