Police recover stolen property in Nimbin

Police have recovered property believed to have been stolen following a search warrant at Nimbin yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10.45am, (Wednesday 9 May 2018), police attached to the Richmond Target Action Group executed a search warrant at a house in Gungas Road.

Police allege they located power tools, personal items and clothing including a NSW Fire & Rescue helmet. Police also allegedly located nearly 200grams of cannabis.

Police are currently investigating possible links to a number of break and enters in the area.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Lismore Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of steal property in dwelling house, break and enter, goods in custody, possess prohibited drug, attempt to dispose of stolen property and dispose of stolen property.

He was refused bail to appear in Lismore Local Court today (Thursday 10 May 2018).
