Police release CCTV as investigation into robbery continues in Strathfield

Police are appealing for public assistance following a robbery at Strathfield earlier this month, NSW Police say.

Just after 12.45pm on Monday 2 May 2016, a 53-year-old woman was being served inside a financial institution at The Boulevard.

A man approached her from behind and stole cash from the counter.

He was chased by a witness and was last seen running along Redmyer Road.

Detectives from Burwood Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have released CCTV of a man who they believe could assist them with inquiries.

He is described as being Pacific Islander / Maori in appearance, between 25 to 30 years-old with a thin build, about 180cm tall with a dark beard and walked with a pigeon-toed gait.

The man is shown wearing a grey shirt and navy blue shorts and a light brown cap.
