Police release CCTV images and appeal for info after bank frauds in Campsie

Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe can assist with inquiries after multiple bank frauds earlier this year, NSW Police say.

On 26 February 2016, a man contacted a financial institution and fraudulently identified himself.

Between 26 February 2016 and 1 March 2016, a man allegedly used fraudulent personal details to electronically transfer almost $54,000 to three different bank accounts.

On 1 March 2016, a man attended an ATM in Campsie and allegedly withdrew some of the cash.

Detectives from St George Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have released images of a man they believe can assist with this investigation.


He is depicted as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 175cm-180cm tall with black hair and brown eyes.

If anyone has any information about the man they are urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
