Police have released CCTV as they investigate an alleged attempted robbery in the state's Snowy Mountains region, last month.
Police were called to Crisp Street, Cooma, following reports of an attempted robbery, about 10pm on Sunday 20 July 2025.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District responded and were told a 21-year-old man was walking home, when a car allegedly pulled up next to him and demanded he hand over his wallet.
When he refused, the man told police he was struck on the cheek, with what he believed to be a knife.
NSW Ambulance responded and treated the man for injuries to his face, before transporting him to Cooma Hospital.
The man is described as being of middle eastern appearance, about 40 years old, slender building, with a black goatee and wearing a red plain hoodie and cargo pants.
He was driving a white Toyota Camry.
Police have released CCTV footage of two cars which were seen in the vicinity around the time of the offence, who they are yet to speak to and believe can assist with their investigations.
It's described as a silver coloured SUV, the second is described as a silver coloured SUV with roof racks or a roof pod.
