Police release descriptions of persons of interest in stabbing in Arncliffe

Police have released descriptions and CCTV footage of two men and a vehicle as part of inquiries into the stabbing of a male in Arncliffe earlier this month, NSW Police say.

About 3.50am on Thursday 5 May 2016 emergency services were called to Eden Street after initial reports of people arguing.

On arriving police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics found a 24-year-old man on the Princes Highway with deep stab wounds to his arm and legs.

After initial assessment by NSW Ambulance on site, the injured man was taken to St George Hospital, with serious injuries before receiving specialist treatment.

Police from St George Local Area Command established Strike Force Atkinson to investigate the incident.

Police are looking for two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as Middle Eastern/Mediterranean or Pacific Islander appearance, with a heavy set large build, 170-175cm tall, with long curly hair and wearing dark clothing.

The second man is described as Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 21-23 years old, medium build, 155-160cm tall. He is shown in the CCTV footage wearing dark clothing and blue latex gloves.

The men were in a vehicle described as a dark coloured Nissan Pulsar hatch with p-plates.

Following investigations, police believe the incident is linked to a stabbing in Riverwood on Friday 22 April 2016.
