Police release images after robbery in Sydney

Police have released images and are appealing for information following a robbery in Sydney’s CBD last month.

About 1.45am on Sunday 21 May 2017 a 24-year-old man was on Druitt Street, Sydney, when he was approached by another man who demanded he hand over his mobile phone.

After initially refusing, the 24-year-old man handed over the phone after being assaulted.

The man left with the phone and met up with another man, before the pair walked away.

As inquiries continue, detectives from Sydney City Local Area Command would like to speak with two men shown in CCTV images who may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first man depicted is of Caucasian appearance, 25 to 30 years old, about 165cm tall, with a solid build and short blonde hair. He is wearing a black jacket, grey t-shirt and black pants.

The second man depicted is of Caucasian appearance, 25 to 30 years old, about 160cm tall, with a medium build. He is wearing a grey t-shirt, and blue jeans. He has distinctive tattoos on both arms.


Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers, NSW Police say.
