Police Respond to Fatal Crash at Blue Mountain Heights

A young man has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in the Darling Downs district last night, 13 December.

Around 7.55pm, police were called to Ballard Siding Road, Blue Mountain Heights, following reports a white Daihatsu Charade had struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Highfields man, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four passengers, including three men and a woman aged between 18 and 21, were transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital with serious injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
