Emergency services are on scene at a gas leak near Nowra.
Shortly after 9am today (Tuesday 13 August 2019) police responded to reports of a gas leak at a construction site on Cambewarra Road, Bomaderry.
Cambewarra Road is closed in both directions between Jasmine Drive and Meroo Street and a number of houses in the nearby vicinity have been evacuated as a precaution.
Road closures are expected to be in place for several hours.
Police are urging members of the public to avoid the area.
Initial inquiries suggest the leak is not suspicious.
