Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Greenacre

A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Sydney's south west today.

About 6.15am (Wednesday 22 September 2021), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway intersection with Northcote Road, Greenacre, after reports of a motorcycle crash.

Police have been told the motorcycle was travelling east along the Hume Highway before the crash.

The male rider was treated at the scene by passing motorists, before NSW Ambulance and police arrived.

He was transferred to Liverpool Hospital, where he died a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 32.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
