Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Kallangur

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred at Kallangur yesterday afternoon (March 18).

At approximately 5:45pm at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Yebri Street, a crash occurred between a motorcycle and truck.

Members of the public and an off-duty police officer rendered assistance at the scene and the rider, a 36-year-old Kallangur man, was transported in a critical condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries this morning.

The driver of the truck was not physically injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the motorcycle in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage, to contact them. Investigations are ongoing.
