Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Sandy Creek

A woman has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Sandy Creek this afternoon, 4 August.

Around 4:50pm, police and emergency services were called to Sandy Creek Road following reports of a white Toyota Landcruiser travelling north bound direction crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Sandy Creek, died at the scene.

A 2-year-old girl sustained a minor injury, and a 6-year-old girl sustained a serious but non-life-threatening injury. Both girls have been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for medical treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

FCU are appealing for anyone with information or relevant vision of the crash to contact police.
