The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal single vehicle crash at Zillmere early this morning, 21 August.
Initial information indicates around 1:25am, a black Volkswagen Golf was travelling along Merrett Avenue near Norbiton Street, before colliding with a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old Zillmere man, was initially transported from the scene, but was later declared deceased.
The other occupants of the vehicle, a 42-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman, and a 14-year-old girl, all from Zillmere, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
